Isaiah 53:5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement of our peace was upon him and with his stripes we are healed.
The definition of the word transgression means to transgress, to break or violate a law or command, to sin or to offend. Iniquity means a gross injustice, wickedness or sin.
So, Jesus died on the cross for our sins; for the sins of the whole world, for all mankind.
When the roman soilders whipped Jesus, he had 39 stripes on his back. There are 39 known diseases.
Jesus was wounded for our sins and whipped or bruised for our healing.
It is God's will for us to be healed. He does not want us to be sick or to suffer from any kind of illness or disease.
Psalm 103: 1-3 says, Bless the Lord, O my soul and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the Lord O my soul and forget not all his benefits. Who forgiveth all thine iniquities, who healeth all thy diseases.
Acts 10: 38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power, who went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil for God was with him.
He went about doing good and healed all for God was with him. It is the will of God for us to be healed. Notice the scripture says that Jesus healed all who were oppressed of the devil. The devil is real.
1Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.
John 10:10 Jesus said, the thief (devil) cometh not but for to steal, kill and destroy, but I am come that they might have life and have it more abundantly.
How can you live your life more abundantly and be sick. Cancer kills, aids kills, diabetes kills.
These diseases steal, kill and destroy your life. Jesus said it is your faith that will make you whole.
Matthew 9: 20 Behold, a woman which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years came behind Jesus and touched the hem of his garment, for she said, if I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole. When Jesus saw her, he said, daughter be of good comfort thy faith hath made thee whole. What was it that Jesus saw? He saw her faith!
Jesus is a healer, he is the same yesterday, today and forever. What he did over 2000 years ago when he walked on the earth, he is still doing today, healing, delivering and setting people free.
You must first believe that he is a healer and then believe that he will heal you and receive your healing. Healing is a gift from God, when somebody gives you a gift, you reach out and take it, you receive it and say thank you.
Confess healing scriptures over yourself everyday. God's word is medicine to our flesh.
Proverbs 4: 20-22 My son, attend to my words, incline thine ear unto my sayings, let them not depart from thine eyes, keep them in the midst of thine heart, for they are life to those that find them and health to all their flesh.
